Tesla Model 3 Gets a 16-Inch Screen in More Markets — When Will Thailand Follow?
Tesla has begun upgrading the Model 3 center touchscreen from 15.4 inches to 16 inches in several markets, including China, the United States and Australia.
In China, all current Model 3 variants now receive the larger 16-inch display, while Tesla has also enabled external AC power output of up to 2.2 kW for Model 3 and Model Y, allowing the vehicle battery to power external appliances through a compatible adapter.
The 16-inch screen has also reached Model 3 vehicles in the United States, while Australia has introduced the larger display alongside Vehicle-to-Load functionality across its updated Model 3 lineup.
What About Tesla Model 3 in Thailand?
This is now becoming an important question for customers waiting to take delivery in Thailand:
Will their Model 3 come with the 15.4-inch or the new 16-inch screen?
At the moment, Tesla Thailand has not officially announced when the 16-inch display will be introduced locally, or which production batch or VIN range would receive the updated hardware.
As Tesla continues rolling out the new screen across more international markets, it is reasonable to keep an eye on whether Thailand may follow in the future. However, customers should wait for official confirmation or check the specification of their actual vehicle before delivery.
Most importantly, there is no need to worry if your vehicle comes with either screen size. Both remain fully functional center displays for the Model 3; the 16-inch version is simply a newer hardware update with a slightly larger display.
